Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. My clients are always so amazing to work with. That’s true of my session with the Rosi family, too!
I met up with them this summer at their home in Dennis and the weather was perfect for photo-taking. It was warm and sunny, with an impeding storm over the ocean, giving us very moody clouds in the distance. While the weather was fine, it was the Rosi family that made this shoot such a joy.
“Our favorite parts were the candid moments playing with the kids or enjoying the sunset and chatting.,” says Tina Rosi.
As you can see from the comments above and the photos below, this family is not only photogenic, but also a close-knit group who clearly love spending time together. They are lucky to have each other and enjoy spending as much time together as possible.
As I drove into the parking lot, I spotted the numerous group of family members all dressed to the nines in white and navy, and a little bit of Red, White and Blue.
See if you can spot the red Cowgirl boots! Love them.
I met up with them at Seagull Beach at West Yarmouth, MA and the weather was perfect for photo-taking. A gentle breeze rustled the tall beach grass with soft puffy clouds floated over the water. The sun set behind the grass, gently brushing the sky with amazing pinks, purples and blues. While the weather was fine, it was the McCarthy family that made this shoot such a treat.
The kids ages range from 2 years old all the way to 13 years old. They even brought adorable Scally Caps from the grandparents trip to Ireland in April.
This is their 11th year for their family reunion on Cape Cod and I could tell they are a close-knit group who clearly love spending time together. I enjoyed being included in their play time.
The fourth of July, holiday weekend brought with it many splendid events, including an amazing session with the Kelly family. Large family portraits sometimes bring with it a need for being loud and trying to get everyone to listen. That did not happen with this incredible family. The kids were well behaved and adorable as ever! Playing with them was one of the highlights of my holiday.
Due to high winds we needed to change plans from the open beach to the Harwich Overlook, at Whychmere Harbor . I love shooting at the Harwich Overlook because the clouds never disappoint and it’s a classic cape cod landscape. Beautiful boats and the gorgeous ocean.
For our shoot, the Kelly’s wore a mix of blues, whites and coral. Such a great choice even for a change in our location. I love how the coral pops but it all mixes together so nicely. A great choice.
It truly was an amazing photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, consider contacting me today to get your family session booked before we fill up!
Hi Everyone! How was your Fourth of July? A great weekend was had by all on my small sandy spot on Cape Cod.
I recently had a super fun session with the Rennie family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. This family played around and joked, with me and around me, making me feel like I was with my own sisters.
We met at Grays Beach in Yarmouth Port. We had to move the date because mother nature had made other plans on us. It was meant to be, however, as the sky was gorgeous for our shoot night.
I loved shooting at Grays Beach because there are rocks on the side, a great spot for kids or adults to sit/stand on. Gorgeous green marsh to one side with the ocean on the other. Sand and a long boardwalk make this spot a great location with various looks.
For our shoot, the Rennie’s brought a couple college t-shirts, where the daughter’s were attending. I thought it was a cute touch and a really great way to keep a moment in history. When they look back they’ll be able to have a beautiful visual of where they were at that time in their history.
Did you know that Michelle Kaye Photography offers proposal photo services? That’s right! We will come to your proposal and photograph the whole event for you! Don’t worry, we’ll be discreet – she’ll never even know we are there until after she says yes and you tell her we are there. You may not know this, but photographers are also trained in the art of being spies.
You may not think it is important, but girls want secret proposal photography almost as much as they want the ring. (Well, maybe not quite that much, but a lot.) This is one of the most important moments of your soon-to-be-wife’s life and all of her friends and family are going to be ask how it happened. What better way to share that moment with them than with amazing, professional photos? I’m telling you, your girl will brag about you for years to come!
You can purchase this service a la carte, or we can add it on to your engagement or wedding package. For pricing and booking information or if you have any questions about this process, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Should I Hire a Professional Photographer to Document My Event?
If you’re on the fence about whether or not to hire someone to photograph your event, consider these reasons:
Let’s say the event is a family reunion and you want to get a group photo of the whole family. You could do it yourself, but one of two things could happen then. A) You have someone take the photo for you, leaving a family member out of the photo because they had to take it. This could possibly offend that person or make them feel awkward for being excluded. Or B) You set a timer on your camera. This can be problematic because there are so many people in the photo that you will need to take several images to make sure everyone is looking and has their eyes open. You will have to take two to three times as long to get the photos done because you’ll have to keep resetting the timer, and you still might not have gotten the shot. Hiring a professional will eliminate all of this stress.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to go around all night taking selfies with my phone or camera with all of my friends and family members. I would much prefer to relax and enjoy the moment instead of trying to capture it. The quality of the photos will be much better than the selfies. Also, trying to take a selfie with a group of people is next to impossible when trying to get everyone inside the frame.
If the event is a birthday party, you don’t want to miss out on visiting with guests or helping your child open presents or cut the cake because you are too busy trying to take the photos. You want to be part of the action, not stuck behind the camera.
Another great thing about hiring a professional is that you don’t have to worry about editing and distributing the photos after the event is over. You just have to wait to receive them from your photographer.
Finally, it’s really a gift to have well lit photographs taking by a professional who preserve the memory of your event. Those images are going to be cherished by everyone for a very long time to come.
